Challenges:

The Dubai government is vigorously promoting green travel and smart city construction. After purchasing a batch of battery swapping batteries, electric motorcycles and battery swapping cabinets, as well as supporting APP and backend systems from TYCORUN, Terra started cooperation with a local takeaway platform in Dubai. The takeaway platform urgently needs to expand its delivery network, but faces two core problems:

Insufficient fleet resources:

The platform lacks its own electric motorcycle fleet and relies on third-party riders, resulting in unstable transportation capacity and difficulty in meeting the growing demand for orders. The third-party riders' vehicles lack regular maintenance, and the failure rate is 15% higher than that of professional fleets. Unstable factors will lead to unstable order acceptance rate of the takeaway platform, affecting the platform's operating efficiency and revenue.

Low energy supply efficiency:

Riders use traditional charging mode, and a single charge takes 2-3 hours, which seriously affects delivery efficiency, while self-built charging facilities face high costs, land approval and grid expansion. With the traditional charging method of electric motorcycles, riders need to spend 2-3 hours charging every day, which is equivalent to taking 10-20 fewer orders.

In order to improve delivery time, the platform hopes to cooperate with Terra to build an efficient and sustainable energy supply network. However, Terra itself also faces challenges: how to quickly deploy battery swapping facilities and ensure efficient battery circulation and operation and maintenance management?

Solution:

Smart battery swapping equipment deployment:

Provide 50 12-slot smart battery swapping cabinets to support unmanned operation around the clock. This operation mode has increased the night order coverage rate of the food delivery platform by 40%, seizing the late-night delivery market

Provide 3300 high-energy density lithium batteries (76.8V 30Ah) and 1200 motorcycles, adapted to the high temperature environment of Dubai, a single batteryswapping takes only 30 seconds.

Electric fleet support:

Terra uses adapted electric motorcycles with a range of 120km to meet all-day delivery needs. The vehicle can connect to the backend management system and report location, power, speed and other data in real time. If the electric motorcycle fleet has a problem, TYCORUN assists Terra in handling the warranty issues of the electric fleet to ensure efficient and stable operation of the vehicles.

Riders can query the nearby battery swap cabinets in real time through the food delivery platform APP, where they can realize the full process automation of "scanning code to get electricity-battery swap-settlement".

Digital operation management:

Customized bilingual (Arabic/English) backend system, connected with the food delivery platform data, combined with the rider's current location, order route, and battery swap station inventory, recommend the most convenient + fastest battery swap station.

Every time the battery is charged and discharged, the system records key parameters such as voltage, temperature, and internal resistance, and the data is uploaded to the cloud analysis platform. If abnormal voltage fluctuations (±5% exceeds the threshold), high temperature (>60℃ for a certain period of time) or internal resistance mutations (single change rate>8%) are detected, the system automatically marks the battery status. The number of battery swaps for slightly abnormal batteries is limited (such as only 2 battery swaps are allowed within 24 hours), and moderate and above abnormal batteries are immediately locked and an alarm is pushed to the operation and maintenance personnel.

Establish a localized service team to provide support such as equipment maintenance, battery recycling, use of battery swap cabinets, and background training for battery swap.
Equipment failure or battery abnormality triggers an automatic work order, which is assigned to the nearest operation and maintenance personnel based on geographic location and skill matching. In addition, digital management is also used to assist Terra in training. The TYCORUN statistics team will generate personal ability maps and customize training courses based on data such as the response speed and fault repair rate of platform technicians.

TYCORUN assisted TERRA in connecting with the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (ADIO), providing financing support and appearing at Make it in the Emirates 2025. ADIO, optimistic about the potential for battery swapping in Dubai, helped TERRA accelerate its implementation and achieve large-scale development in the UAE.

Social benefits: The annual carbon reduction reached 12,000 tons, and the project was included in the "2025 New Energy Demonstration Project" by the Dubai Transportation Bureau.
